Chianti Classico vineyards with ancient hamlet, Siena - Tuscany
Stone-built thousand-year-old hamlet with 335-acre organic wine farm and winery with cellar for sale in Castellina in Chianti, Siena. Perched on the hills of the prestigious Chianti Classico landscape, the organic wine farm with an extension of 335 acres boasting 82 acres cultivated with vineyards with mainly Sangiovese vines coupled with international vines such as Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc e Chardonnay. For the past 40 years, the current owners have been fully dedicated to producing quality Chianti Classico wines, renovating vineyards, creating a winemaking and aging cellar facility, and, since 2009, pursuing organic certification. Annually, 75,000 bottles are produced, and 75% are marketed abroad, potentially up to 200,000 bottles per year. The organic production of DOP-certified extra virgin olive oil with Correggiolo, Moraiolo, and Leccino varieties is excellent. The estate features two separate facilities: the first is an 11th-century hamlet masterly restored into holiday apartments and a separate villa; the second includes offices and a winery facility featuring new technologies combined with scenic brick colonnades, arches, and high vaulted ceilings. All residences retain the charm of Tuscan country houses with arched loggias and natural stone facades overlooking a courtyard, and the interiors are embellished in rustic style with high wood-beamed ceilings, exposed terracotta tiles, stone walls, brick arches, and wood-burning fireplaces.
